Australian Age of Sigmar Masters League

Players aiming for glory at Masters and seeking to stake a claim to the throne of being Australian Master - please save the date and sharpen your campaign plan for the final run!

Detail and Transparent Rationale:

1. The current season will officially end and the ladder will be locked based events ending 3rd April (subject to result submission by 11.59pm on the 4th April).
2. Invites will be issued on or around the 5th April 2022.
3. Events after the season end date will count towards next season ladders.
4. Location is ‘TBD’.
5. April 22-23 aligns with ANZAC day public holiday (25th April).   We think some people will consider taking Monday 24th off work and make a ‘long weekend’ of the event to maximise side benefits of any travel that is required to participate.
6. This is a small timing change (approx. 1 month shorter season) from previous public announcements but is made based on a combination of factors such as:

• (a) length of season
• (b) long lead notice is being given with no expected disruption to any players serious campaign plan for the season;
• (c) long lead time for no current conflicting event in the community calendar.
• (d) aligning timing of Masters relative to AOS World Championships (which is end of May 2023)

We expect there to be a high overlap between Team Aust rep squad and Masters invitees and want to ensure there is no conflict issues and that the “best of the best” within our community can play at both events.   This also includes other potential side benefit advantages of having our ‘best of the best’ all together in the lead up to World Championships -> Aus Masters is then a high-end competitive event shortly prior to World Champs, with the opportunity to hone skills in our National championship before travelling to compete at Worlds.
