TEAM COMPOSITION:

· Each team will consist of four 2000pt armies

· All four armies must have different Allegiances, but may be from any Grand Alliance

· Each school of manifestations can only be selected once per team. No quadruple Purple Suns!

· Regiments of Renown can only be taken once per team.

LIST SUBMISSION:

Lists must be submitted to the Stats & Ladders website no later than 10PM FRIDAY 25TH OCTOBER.

All details, including subfactions, artefacts, Marks of Chaos, weapon options, so on and so forth must be specified on your army list. There is no such thing as too much detail!

TERRAIN:

Terrain sets will be present on every table. This event will use the terrain maps specified in each scenario. Players will be responsible for setting up the terrain map with their opponent at the start of each game to match the scenario.

PAINTING STANDARDS:

It is expected by event staff that all models being used at the event be ‘Battle Ready’ at minimum. With products such as Contrast on the market, I believe this is very achievable. TO’s can remove unpainted models from the table.

Each player can earn up to 10 Hobby Points from the Hobby Matrix (released soon) for a total of 40 potential Hobby Points that will be added to their team score at the end of the event.

The Matrix has been designed for players to max their score with different avenues, such as converting, display boards, fine details and just flatout incredible paint jobs.

SCORING:

This event will use a 20-0 sliding scale per game, meaning across four games per round, there is 80 points in play.

As with previous years, Rounds will be capped at 60-20 as the maximum possible score for a team match.

This means the absolute highest score possible from the event would be 340 (300 from five capped games and 40 from maximum Hobby Points).

Once round scores are finalized, there will be no retroactive adjusting of scores, so make sure you and your opposing team agree on the scores and the outcome of a round before punching it.

SPORTSMANSHIP AND PLAYER CONDUCT:

It is expected of all players to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. If two players cannot resolve a rules question between themselves, there will be Judges present throughout the event who will happily adjudicate any and all questions. There will be no stigma in calling a judge. This is still a very new edition of the game for many people, and if there is a question or misunderstanding at the table, the best-case scenario is that it gets resolves at the table. This plays into retroactive scoring being ruled out. It is immensely difficult for judges to make rulings once the game is over. We are here to help, don’t hesitate to ask.

The Head Tournament Organiser reserves the right to remove a player or spectator from the event on the basis of foul play or foul conduct. Players removed may not be allowed to attend future Rune Axe events.

PRIZES:

There are plenty of prizes up for grabs, while I’m not going to list ALL of them (where’s the fun in that), here is a selection of trophies up for grabs.

HOBBY NOMINATIONS:

Throughout Saturday, hobby judges will be inspecting all armies at the event. At the start of Sunday, the top 10% (12 players) will be given a Hobby Nomination. They will be asked to display their armies over lunch on Sunday for all players to vote on for Players Choice.

Hobby Nominations are hard to quantify, and are often the hardest decisions of the weekend for judges, as the overall level of hobby has increased each and every year.

Player’s Choice and Players Choice Runner Up will take precedent over Judge’s Choice and Judge’s Choice runner up. Give the people what they want!

BEST SPORT:

Each player will have two votes to cast at the end of the event. For your best (2 points) and second best (1 point) opponents from the weekend. The player with the most sports points at the end of the event will win. Runner up will be second highest score. Simple!

THE SKULLS:

The Skulls are back! Not the same skulls… we got new ones, Jack! At the beginning of each round from Game 1 to 4, a Skull will be handed out via a random number generator. The player who receives the Skull keeps it in their possession until they are defeated at the table, at which point the victor will become the new holder of the Skull. There are four prize packs associated with the four Skulls. The four holders at the end of Game 5 will receive those prize packs!
