SAGT 2023

Another year, another chance to get your name etched in history on the South Australian master shield. Get a head start on this years master rankings or just come down and enjoy the cosy venue and SA beers.

This page doubles as both player pack and ticket booth so check back periodically to make sure you're up to date with the latest info.

• Blood rule is in effect so please make sure you spell your club name correctly and consistently.
• Grudges for round 1 are allowed and need to be sent to the TO prior to round 1 pairings being drawn. Both players must agree for the grudge to be accepted.

LIST SUBMISSION

Lists are to be submitted via Stats & Ladders by 8:00pm 14/05/2023. Lists are to be submitted in plain text, copied from WARSCROLL BUILDER or the WH AoS app. If a list is incorrectly submitted you will be asked to resubmit it.

Lists will be published for peer review allowing the wider community to rule-check and raise any potential issues with builds or army mechanics allowing the TO to make decisions well in advance of the tournament. Note: No names will be published with the lists so don't worry about your public image getting damaged if you make a mistake. The TO will contact you privately and ask you to ammend your list if needed.

No book without a FAQ/Errata will be allowed.

MODELS, BASING AND PAINTING

Models are expected to be fairly WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get). Conversions, suitable substitutes and third party miniatures are allowed, though if you have a cool conversion or unusual model which may have some confusion in game please contact the TO for approval. Forge World models should use the official Forge World model or an extensively converted, unique model.  A proxy or counts as model is considered using one model that has a warscroll as another without any attempt at conversion to fit the theme of the army (e.g using a Daemon Prince as Vargulf).

Rather than using a painting rubric it is expected that all models in use meet the minimum standard outlined below (or better). Every single model that you use during the tournament, including summoned models, must be ‘Battle Ready' and based. Battle ready means everything is base coated and shaded, or have been painted with contrast. Full contrast armies are fine. Showing white primer is not. Bases should be textured or painted a solid colour. Unpainted models will be removed from the table.

SCORING/GAMING

Paint and sports scores will not be used to determine final points. Player scores will be limited to how well you play the game. 

• Win Score = 5 points
• Draw = 3 points
• Loss = 0 points

No minors are in play. You either win, lose or draw with your opponent.

• First tie breaker will be Victory Points.
• Second tie breaker will be Strength of Schedule.

Stats & Ladders will be used for scoring, voting and pairings throughout the tournament. You will need to register at https://my.statsandladders.com before the event. This registration is free. Once you register, add yourself to the SAGT tournament listed.

Rounds will last for 3 Hours.

SPORTSMANSHIP & RESOLUTION

Hopefully this section is self-explanatory and does not come up during the tournament. However, it is worth reinforcement of the values and behaviour we expect of all players at our event. If two players can't resolve a dispute a T.O will get involved and make a decision. That decision is final.

TERRAIN

Terrain will be pre set and pre-rolled on each table. At the start of each round, players can pivot, or move them the minimum distance to ensure objective markers are flat on the table.

PRIZES

• 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall
• Best in faction (Death, chaos, destruction and order)
• Best painted army (judged by players)
• Best painted model (judged by To’s)
• Best sports 

A prize will be allocated for each of the winners everyone and will receive a player pack with sagt goodies

Players will be asked to vote for their favourite and second favourite opponents of the weekend to determine the Best Sports winner.
